The Best Beer Brats
Ingredients Needed:
1) your favorite brats
2) beer (I use to use sweater porters or red ales however after the devastating news that my girlfriend could no longer have gluten I searched long and hard for this gluten free beer, red bridge by bush)
3) optional: a beer for you so you don't accidentally drink the beer designated for the brats.
Preparing the Brats
Place the brats in a pan, or in this case a brownie tin, and poke holes in the brats and pour your beer choice on top.
Cooking the Brats
Bring the beer to a boil and allow the brats to cook for twenty (20) minutes, flipping the brats occasionally. Do not toss out the beer after this step.
Grill the Brats
After the brats are cooked in the beer, place them on the grill. The brats are already cooked so all you need to do is char them to your liking.
Finishing Touches
Once off the grill, place the brats back in the beer and cook for five (5) more minutes. These extra five minutes help to really absorb the flavor. Serve and enjoy.
