We all know guys love bacon. We also know guys like making and eating epic meals made with bacon. This was the idea that led me to create bacon man! Combining footlong, all beef jumbo hotdogs and 3 packs of thick cut applewood smoked bacon, this manly snack will satisfy any bacon craving.

The materials you'll need to make your own Bacon Man snack: - 1 package of footlong, all beef jumbo hotdogs - 3 packs of thick cut bacon (applewood smoked is best) - 3 skewers - toothpicks - Oven

Preparation

No one likes soggy bacon. Period. So the first thing your going to want to do is start crossing up your bacon in the oven. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees C and line as many baking trays as possible and place them in the oven. ( rotate the trays on the bottom to the top every 15 minutes)

Set Up the Skeleton

After you bacon is in the oven your going to need to create your bacon man skeleton. Start by putting one hotdog onto a skewer being sure that the skewer does not poke out the other side. Next slide another skewer across the hotdog about 1/3 the way down from the top to make the arms. Finally break one skewer in half and insert the tips into the bottom of the hotdog to make the legs. Once all skewers are in place slide on your hotdogs (cut in half) accordingly. I also found that wrapping a piece of bacon around the "groin" area of the bacon man helped to keep everything secure.

Start Layering

Check on your bacon! Once it starts to get slightly firm and a little crispy remove it from the oven and begin wrapping your bacon man. Use tooth picks to hold the bacon together while cooking. Once you have fully wrapped the bacon man once, place in the oven and bake again. Another 10-12 minutes should do the trick.

Step and Repeat

Once the layer of bacon is crispy proceed to add another layer of bacon and cook until crispy. Step and repeat until all the bacon is done

Sit Back and Enjoy

Once the final layer of your bacon man is cooked, remove from the oven and take out all the toothpicks and let cool for 5 minutes. Once cooled grab an arm or a leg and put between a crusty bun and enjoy with a few beers and a few friends. I hope you guys enjoyed this instructable.
