The Apocalypse Knife

After watching too many videos on Youtube on how to make a knife I decided to give it a go.  I built this knife using only hand tools. The  first problem I faced was finding the materials to build the knife with. Then I found an old lawnmower blade in the garage. I had never heard of anyone making a knife out of a lawnmower blade, but I was gonna try. First I cut a piece out of the lawnmower blade about 8 inches long. This piece was square with a simple triangular tip. I then built a fire in a really old grill. This was the fun part. Using untreated wood scraps I built a fire in the grill and used a fan to get it burning even hotter. After the metal was red hot I pulled the knife out and forged it on the flat part of my vice. Then I used an old file to give it an edge and finished it off on my wet stone. I was originally going to leave the handle plain, but ended up wrapping it in paracord.
