The "5 Gallon Bucket" Plastic Bag Dispenser/Recycler!. Easy DIY. stores 100's of plastic bags. easy to make and use! simple "thru-the-lid" top-loading design makes it easy to load it up with no hassle. great way to store (and reuse) all those plastic grocery bags. only things needed: a few simple tools and a 5 gallon bucket. tip: paint it or wrap with wallpaper for a custom look.
Now... the Build...

first step... pick a bucket. i went with the full 5 gallon bucket
Next, Let's Make the Outlet...

flip the bucket over and drill a 2.5" hole near the bottom on the side of bucket
Then Sand It...

sand the edge of the hole that you just drilled. (you don't want the bags catching on any rough areas)
Next, Let's Make the Inlet...

drill a 1" hole in the center of the lid...
Now Cut Slats Outward From That Hole...

cut about 8...
Then Smooth the Edges Out...

smooth out the edges with tin snips and or sand paper...
Now Add the Bags...

all the bags on the couch fit into the bucket
Now Just Pull Them Out As Needed...

holds tons of bags... great way to store, reuse and recycle. i haven't tried, but you might be able to use this dispenser with other items too (shop towels, rags, paper towels). for custom look, paint it or wrap in wallpaper
