The $5 Automatic Alcohol Dispenser

Copy of DIY AUTOMATIC ALCOHOL DISPENSER 2 (2).png

So with quarantine being lifted off my country I noticed alcohol dispensers in an attempt to stop the spread of the virus but these alcohol dispensers required to be touched making it a possible route for being infected with the virus. I made this automatic alcohol dispenser to stop that possibility. This low cost 5$ dispenser is beginner friendly to make by not requiring any programming skills and arduino.

Our prototyping board is too large for our project to save some for future projects lets cut it down to a smaller size

The Cap

Get the cap of your enclosure and make holes for the pvc tube and motor wires to go. You can secure them with hot glue.

The Circuit

Follow the diagram above for the wiring of our parts.

Wire It All Up

Once you finished wiring up the circuit it should look like this.

(OPTIONAL) 3d Print an Enclosure

To make the project look better I 3d printed an enclosure for the electronics. This step is completely optional this is just for aesthetics

Congratulations you just made your very own low cost alcohol dispenser!

To use it just plug the micro-usb cable at the back and put your hand in front of the sensor.
