Third step is to hot glue the pieces together. The pieces are grouped together the way they should be glued together. On the top piece and base I drew a square where the L pieces should be glued on.

You need to cut two pieces of six inches of string and two pieces of two inch strings. The long pieces are glued on the top and base in the corners. The short pieces of string are glued to the short parts of the L shaped parts.
