Temporary Pool House

I designed a temporary pool cover-type house that would cover your residential inground pool during the winter. It would provide shelter from harsh weather and temperatures so that you could enjoy your pool year-long. It is a temporary structure so it is designed to come apart quickly and easily as well as able to be constructed quickly and easily.

Sketches

Making sketches is an important way to start the brainstorming process and just get ideas together. You want to do a lot of sketches with a variety of ideas to work with. The more ideas you have, the more options you have to make the best design possible. You will then want to take these designs and use some of the ideas you came up with and make a final design sketch of your decided upon design.
CAD Drawings

The next step is to make cad designs of your finalized design so you can get a better visualization of your design and you can use this step to work out any final dimensions that you need to meet certain requirements for the land this structure will be placed on.
Build Model

I decided to construct a model that would effectively represent what a finished product would look like. It allowed me to test the functionality of my idea so that I may create a finished product. The model allowed me to adapt to different ideas and ways of thinking so that my final design was perfect.
3D Print Modeling

A 3D printed model is a great way to tangibly express your design. I created one so that I could better understand my design.
