Tatertot Hotdish
Hello, my name is Taylor. Do you not know what to make for supper at night? Well, here is an easy recipe of tatertot hotdish that is great for family and friends. You might ask yourself what this guy knows, well I know that I had this meal growing up. I have had many different renditions of it with other families and none of them have been bad.
Supplies
Now for everything you are going to need for this recipe. For utensils you will need a skillet, a 10x18 pan metal or ceramic will work, plastic container, a spatula, and a can opener. You will need nonstick cooking spray, two pounds of hamburger of your choice, and two cans of 12 oz of cream of mushroom soup. You can do a couple of different things with the vegetables. I personally go with just corn but you can also throw in peas, carrot nibs or green beans. Lastly a bag of tatertots.
Hamburger
First you will need to turn on your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to pre-heat, brown the hamburger in a skillet so that there are no red or pink colors left in the meat. After you have browned the hamburger, you will need to drain the grease into a separate container to throw away in the garbage. Turn down your stove to low or warm because you will not need it for too much longer
Mixing Together the Ingredients
Use the can opener to open your cans of cream of mushroom soup and pour them into the browned hamburger and mix until well incorporated. Once you have mixed the hamburger and cream of mushroom soup, add your vegetables in and mix again.
Putting It in the Pan
Now spray the 10x18 pan with the nonstick cooking spray to ensure it does not stick to the pan. Then you can put your mixture of hamburger, cream of mushroom soup, and vegetables into your pan. You can now even out the mixture in the pan so that it is flush in the pan and line the top with tatertots.
Oven Time
Then put it in the oven for one hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit or until the tatertots are golden brown.
