Tasty Healthy Banana Muffins

IMG-0886.JPG

I originally made this recipe based on when I wanted to make healthy sugar-free Banana bread because I wanted to make a dessert that was healthy. Honey is a good substitute for sugar and oats would give it some fiber, so I thought why don't I try making this recipe?

Supplies

1 ½  cups Flour, 1 ½ cups Oats, 1 teaspoon Cinnamon, ½ teaspoon Salt, ½ teaspoon Baking soda, ½ teaspoon Baking powder, 3 Bananas (mashed), 1 tablespoon Vanilla extract, 2 eggs, 3/4 cup Honey, ⅓ cup Applesauce, ½ cup Olive oil for the recipe

Things you need: 2 mixing bowls, An electric mixer, a Cooking spoon, a Muffin tin (This recipe makes about 16 muffins), Oven, A masher, A small bowl, a Measuring cup, and Cupcake liners (for easy eating)

Mix the Dry Ingredients

The first step is to mix the dry ingredients together using the electric mixer in a mixing bowl. Mix the Flour, Oats, Salt, Cinnamon, Baking Soda, and Baking Powder together in that order. After mixing together leave it in that bowl and leave it for now.

Mash the Bananas

Mash the 3 bananas in a small bowl until they are a fine liquid. Then keep them ready for the next step

Mix the Wet Ingredients

Next, mix the wet ingredients together using the electric mixer in the other mixing bowl. Mix the Vanilla extract, eggs, honey, and applesauce until they have blended together. Then add the mashed banana to it and mix until it's a fine liquid again.

Mix Everything

Take the measuring cup and add a cup of your dry ingredients mixture every 5 minutes to the wet ingredients mixing bowl while mixing. Stop after the mixture is a little like bread dough.

Muffin Tin

After mixing, set it aside for now. Then take the muffin tin and wipe it with water and then dry it. Then put in each individual muffin tin thing a cupcake liner. Fill the cupcake liners/muffin tin with the mixture. Make sure to fill each one only 3/4ths of the way, so there is enough room for the muffin to rise.

Baking Time

Put it in the oven at 350 degrees and put it for 15 to 25 min open the oven every 5 minutes and poke a toothpick inside one of the muffins. If the toothpick comes out clean, then it is done.

Enjoy
