Taco Pizza Without Refried Beans.

We have Taco Tuesday religiously in our house. So there's always some leftover Taco guts in the fridge. Pizza being a quick and easy lunch that the kids will eat (most days), we use up our leftover Taco guts for Taco pizza. One day we were out of refried beans, but we had a can of garbanzo beans and improvising happened. It was so good we nolonger keep refried beans.

Let's get to it.

Supplies

You will need (I used)
● Pizza crust (we have a cileac in our family so we use Schar crusts)
● Oven, preheat to required temperature.
● Pizza pan, bowl, sturdy fork.
● Can of your favorite beans (pinto, favorite is black beans)
● Salsa (good salsa makes everything better)
● Cheese (Fiesta blend)
● Taco guts leftover from Taco Tuesday.

Make the Bean Sauce.

Let us follow the pictures above.
1. Put about half your can of beans in the bowl
2. Add about 1/3 to 1/2 the volume of beans worth of salsa into the bowl.
3. Mush and mash the mixture until your satisfied with the consistency of the bean sauce.

Make the Pizza.

Following the pictures again.
If you haven't yet (I forgot) preheat your oven to the appropriate temperature.
1. Smear the bean sauce across your crust.
2. Sprinkle a base coat of cheese on the pizza.
3. Add your Taco guts.
4. Sprinkle a top coat of cheese.
5. The Taco pizza usually takes a little longer to cook so pop it in the oven a little before the preheat is complete. And cook the pizza to completion.

QUICK TIP.
picture 3. To keep the leftover beans from getting a tin can flavor, put them in a zipper bag and squeeze out all the air out possible.

Adding the leftover beans to scrambled eggs is pretty good way to use the beans if you're not going to make another Taco pizza soon.
