TUTORIAL : Wings-Shaped Game Controller for the Bric-a-Brac game

In this tutorial, we will be building wings-shaped controller for the free game "Bric-a-Brac".

Supplies

Foam boards

Cables

Straps

Belt

Feathers

Makey Makey set

Glue

Buttons

String

Micro USB

Cut the Foam Boards

Take a piece of foam board and cut it in two in the middle.

The Length of the 2 Pieces

These two pieces have to be the same length as an extended arm.

Attach the Straps

Attach one strap to each piece of foam board to be able to put it on your arms.

Create the Holes

Put the button in the middle and make two small holes next to it to put the string.

Cut the Strings

Cut two strings that will be stretched when you extend your arms, to press the button.

Put the Strings in the Holes

Put the strings in the holes and put the button back in the middle to see if it is pressed when the string is stretched.

Let's Try It On

Try it on.

This is how it is supposed to look in the front and from the back.

Attach the Card

Scotch the card to the wing and plug the cables to the G and D pin on Makey Makey.

Connect the G & D Cables

Connect the G and D cables to the button on the wings.

Glue the Feathers

Glue the feathers to the foam boards to make the wings look more realistic.

Connect the Cables to the Computer

Connect the cables to the computer and start playing!
