A traffic light is an electrical device that serves to organize circulation in the streets of our towns and cities.

If you look closely, you will see that there is a traffic light for vehicles and a different one for people who are walking.

The traffic light for vehicles has three colored lights in a circular shape. The driver, seeing him, knows what he has to do:

• When the red light comes on it should stop.

• When the green light comes on you can pass.

• When the yellow light comes on it should stop because it is about to turn red.

The pedestrian traffic light has two lights in the shape of a human silhouette. The pedestrian, seeing him, knows what he has to do:

• When the red silhouette lights up, you may not cross the street.

• When the green silhouette lights up, you may cross the street.

It is very important to respect the light signals of the traffic lights so that neither drivers nor pedestrians suffer accidents.

Knowing what a traffic light is for now, with that knowledge, we will do it. We have a common, which is GND, that is, the microcontroller has to deliver a logic 1 to its digital output to be able to turn on the traffic light lights. So, having said that, we have to program ignition times. and off for our traffic light.

We have a traffic light with 3 colors, red, yellow and green, which will allow me to visualize the color with a current limiting resistor.

As I said, this traffic light is compatible with any microcontroller, be it Arduino or other programming chips.
