TOUCH SENSOR

There are many touch sensors but in my case it only sends high or low signals depending on the touch to the sensor, since it does not lock, so having a disadvantage with this sensor, it is necessary to design a circuit that will allow me to control alternating current loads to exit with a touch on said sensor.

A touch sensor is a type of device that captures and documents physical contact with a device and/or object. It enables a device or object to detect the contact or close proximity generally of a human user or operator.

First of all, you have to know what a Touch Sensor is and what it works for. This, as its name says, is a sensor that detects when the user presses just like a button. However, this sensor, unlike push buttons, detects a certain capacitance of the human body generated by the effect of pressing it on the ground, so it can be activated with little or no pressure on it.

It is made up of five pins, two of which are for power supply and three for output, as shown in Figure 1.

CD4017 Divider Counter

The CD4017 Divider Counter is a decimal decoder integrated circuit (IC) that has 16 pins and has 10 outputs. In its internal structure it is made up of a 5-stage Johnson counter that can divide or count by any value between 2 and 9, with resources to continue or stop at the end of the cycle.

It can be done in many ways, even with programming, but we will do it with a well-known IC, the CD4017, which will allow us to jump from pulse to pulse, turning it on with a touch and then turning it off with a touch on the sensor, we can control loads up to 10 A 220VAC output by which we can control lighting AC DC motors, etc.

This operation is very similar to a direct start in the industrial theme of electricity.
