Hello friends, this being my first instructable will guide you through the process of making your very own led torch or night light from a discarded mosquito racquet rechargeable battery.
COMPONENTS REQUIRED:-
1) A WHITE LED ISOLATED(THE ONE THAT HAS A SERIES RESISTANCE ATTACHED TO IT ON A CIRCULAR PCB) FROM A BROKEN TORCH
2) A RECHARGEABLE BATTERY ISOLATED FROM A DAMAGED MOSQUITO RACQUET
3) WIRES( I USED RIBBON WIRES)
4)A SPST SWITCH (FOUND IN THE MOSQUITO RACQUET ITSELF ...TO TURN THE RACQUET ON OR OFF ,,,,NOT THE ONE THAT IS PRESSED TO KILL MOSQUITOES)
5)A PLASTIC BALL
6)CELLOTAPE
7) PLIERS (WIRE CUTTING)

1.   DO CHECK IF YOUR BATTERY IS STILL CHARGING AND DELIVERING AROUND 4 VOLTS....
2.  DO NOT THROW AWAY THE RACQUET CIRCUIT BECAUSE IF YOU WANT TO RECHARGE THE BATTERY YOU CAN WITH THE CHARGER CKT INSIDE THE RACQUET......
3.  WHILE ISOLATING COMPONENTS DO PAY ATTENTION TO THEIR POLARITIES CAUSE YOU MAY NEED TO REASSEMBLE THE COMPONENT TO CHARGE THE BATTERY BY CONNECTING IT AT THE RIGHT ENDS.....ELSE YOU MAY DAMAGE THE BATTERY WHILE RECHARGING.

TO RECHARGE THE BATTERY SIMPLY ISOLATE THE BATTERY FROM THE LED CKT  ....CONNECT THE BATTERY TO THE WIRES MEANT FOR CHARGING IT FROM THE RACQUET CKT...CONNECT THE RIGHT POLARITIES AND LET IT CHARGE FOR AROUND 1.5HRS......SWITCH OFF THE SUPPLY AND REASSEMBLE THE CKT...TAKES 5 MINS TO BUILD AGAIN...DO TRY...BEST OF LUCK..

DO NOT TRY TO DISASSEMBLE A WORKING RACQUET ELSE IT ZAPS YOU

PROCEDURE

TAKE TWO WIRES AND ATTACH THEM TO THE END OF THE ISOLATED BATTERY

ATTACH TWO WIRES TO THE FREE END OF THE SERIES LED CKT

ATTACH BOTH THE WIRES TO THE WIRES FROM THE BATTERIES KEEPING THE SWITCH IN SERIES WITH ANY ONE OF THE WIRES CONNECTING BATTERY TO LED CKT(SEE POLARITY ON BATTERY WRITTEN NEAR THE LEADS)

ATTACH ALL THIS TO THE BATTERY ITSELF USING CELLOTAPE...KEEPING THE SWITCH TO THE SIDE

PIERCE A 5 MM HOLE IN THE BALL ...ELSE PROCURE A LENS AND A REFLECTOR FROM ONE OF THOSE OLD BROKEN TORCHES HOUSING ONE LED.......

SLIDE THE BALL ON THE LED TO FIT SNUGLY

TURN ON THE SWITCH TO SEE THE EFFECT.      :)
