TERMINATOR II Cosplay - Automatic Eye Movement
This is a instructable about easy Terminator II cosplay, with the special feature of automatic eye movement.
Supplies
- metallic skull mask
- Ipod nano 6Gn
- black sunglasses
- plastic, glue, colors, pair of scissors
- rest of the Terminator costume (leather jacket, toy pistol, etc).
Get the Metallic Mask
- I suppose you can make your own replica, but I think it makes more sense to buy a plastic metal-painted skull mask in any store or paint it in metallic colour.
- Cut the mask to simulate the visible terminator skull.
- Put some plastic with red and black paint on the edge. Perhaps you can use fake blood, but i want to do a more child-friendly costume.
- Use the sunglasses to fix the mask to the face.
Eye's Movement: Ipod Nano 6Gn
- Use a sixth generation iPod nano (great device, discontinued). You can get it refurbished or a replica.
- Use an image of Hall9000's eye, edit it several versions with the iris in different positions (or use mine).
- You can put funny message in the images ("I'll be back", "Hasta la vista, Baby","seaching for John Connor"...).
- Load the selected images to the ipod.
- Configure the ipod in presentation mode. The carrusel start.
- Put the ipod nano inside the sunglasses.
- Use your free eye to avoid an accident
Enjoy
- Better result by late evening or night
- I use the blue light of the toy pistol for artistic lighting effects
- Better result with shaved breast
- Enjoy looking for John Connor (don't be rude with him)
