Hello my name is Ethan Peterson this afternoon I am going to show short demonstration how to Short Circuit MIG weld a T joint vertically down. In just a few simple steps this can be done. So why don’t you just sit back and relax and learn a little something.

Alright now that you’re here lest get some materials that you’ll need to do this. Well the first thing that you’re going to need is some safety equipment. So this is a pair of safety glasses, welding gloves, and a welding helmet.

So now that we got the safety equipment now we need the materials and a wire feed welder. For the materials you need are going to be two eight inch strips that are two inches wide.

Alright now that we got our materials we can start the process of welding these pieces together. So then we are going to set the welder to 300 on the amps and then 17.5 on the volts. So then we are going to need to tack the two pieces as shown in the picture. Then place the joint in a vertical position just like in picture.

Alright now it looks like we are ready to weld it up. So this is what we are going to do. Place your gun in the joint at the top then place the gun at a 45 degree angle the pull the trigger and then slowly pull the gun down though the joint. Just like in the short video below.
