T-3 Woodworking Project Slingshot

Here is my Woodworking 10 T-3 project presentation.
Note - This is a school project, thus not really a tutorial.
Supplies
Wood - You will want wood that is strong and has a straight grain which will withstand shock I used hickory and the second piece of wood for the handle scales
Saw(s) - I used a handsaw, table saw, and scroll saw
Wood Glue
Finish - I used Danish oil
Bands - I bought premade ones from snipersling
Cutting Out Forks

I initially started by cutting a piece of wood using a handsaw, this was a mistake. I wasted a ton of time and it ended up being too thick (3rd pic). I used a handsaw at first because I had thought my table saw was too small it wasn't. So I cut a second thinner piece using the table saw (4th pic). I then laid on the template and cut out the forks using a scroll saw (5-6th pic). I also sanded the forked wood because the wood was slightly warped.
Cutting the Handle Scales and Drilling

For some stupid reason, I also cut this by hand. The wood is extremely hard and polishes up to a super high sheen, I brought it from Africa. I then drilled the holes for the dowels, I made the mistake of using a hand drill this was a bad decision I should have used a drill press.
Glueing

Not many photos for this step because I needed both hands. It was a bit of a pain since the holes never lined up perfectly so the scales are not perfectly aligned, which is a bit frustrating.
Sanding and Shaping the Handle

I used a rotary rasp in a drill to get the rough shape, I used a combination of a knife and rough sandpaper to get my desired shape. I then applied some Danish Oil.
Done!!!

It's okay, but it is definitely not my best project you can see where the scales are slightly misaligned otherwise it is just "okay".
