Sweet Sugar Cookie With Vanilla Frosting & Chocolate Chunks on Top

Here’s a delightful homemade recipe just for you! Enjoy chewy, sweet sugar cookies topped with creamy vanilla frosting and generous chunks of chocolate for an extra touch of sweetness. Simply follow the step-by-step instructions, and savor the deliciousness of your freshly baked cookies.


Supplies

Ingredients 

  1. 1 cup of salted butter at room temperature 
  2. 1 cup sugar 
  3. 2 large eggs 
  4. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 
  5. 3 cups of flour 
  6. 2 teaspoons baking powder 

Vanilla Frosting 

  1. ½ cup salted butter at room temperature 
  2. 3 cups powdered sugar
  3. 1-3 tablespoons heavy cream
  4. Food coloring if you would like (Optional)

Tips & notes 

  1. Don’t overbake them; double-check if they still need to be longer in the oven because what oven you have all depends!
  2. If you think you need more heavy cream for it to be more whipped, then add more if needed if you; like it’s optional. 



Sugar Cookies

Preheat the oven to 350 and have a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and an ice cream scooper ready to go, as with your electric mixer or hand mixer.

Cream the butter and sugar and wait until fluffy, use either a hand mixer or an electric mixer. I recommend using an electric mix as you see in the picture.

Add eggs and vanilla extract, and wait until they are completely combined.

Add in the flour mixture and baking powder until mixed dough begins to form.

Now put it on parchment paper on your baking pan for the cookies in the oven at 350 and bake for 12 minutes or if longer needed.

Vanilla Frosting

First, cream the butter and powdered sugar together until smooth.

Add the heavy cream until completely combined and whipped together.

Once your cookies are completely cool from the oven, ensure they’re fully ready by checking for a light golden edge. Now it's time to frost them. Put the icing in a piping bag with an icing tip so you can design them as you like. Finally, chop the chocolate chips for the topping!
