Sweet Empty Fridge Pie

DSCN3396b.jpg

Empty fridge and empty table.

Have you ever got that need to cook something to prove yourself that "yeah, I can bake like that Masterchef pro"? This is what happened last weekend when I found an untouched premade pie crust lying in my fridge.
There was nothing but a piece of chocolate. Absolute void. No cheese or anything.

(You are right, I could have gone to the supermarket, but I was tired...)

Ingredients (AKA what I found in my kitchen)

  • Premade pie crust
  • 1 egg
  • 1 banana
  • 6 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 pieces of chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon of butter

Bake It

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius
Put the premade pie crust in a greased baking tin and cut the rest of it into three pieces to create the pi symbol (I made six of them so I could try my decorating skills without having to worry)
Cover everything with aluminium foil and use some beans or biscuit cutters to prevent the crust from rising
Bake for 30-35 minutes
Spread some yolk on the cake
Bake for 5-10 minutes

Sweeten It

Cut the banana into pieces and spread it on an aluminium foil
In a pan, pour enough water over the sugar to cover all of it
Heat and stir until the sugar melts and darkens
When it's brown/amber-colored pour it over the banana pieces
Let it cool (after some time you can put it in the fridge)

Spread It

Choose a nice plate (everyone loves a nice plate!)
Whisk the egg white and add the cocoa powder (this would be a kind of bitter cream, due to my lack of ingredients)
Spread the cream over the crust

Decorate It

Fold a sheet of aluminium foil into the shape of a cone to make a frosting piping bag (I had run out of baking paper...)
Melt the chocolate
Pour it into the frosting piping bag
Decorate!

Finish It

Transfer the disk of banana and caramel on the crust
Put the decorations on top of it
EAT IT (or wait until somebody begs you for a piece of this sweetie-pie)

Enjoy!

Ps: this was my first instructable!
