Sweet Chilli Sauce / Paste

Looking for a sweet chilli sauce that is full of flavour and goes with any of your meals:

Meats
Pastas
Sandwiches
Cheese

Then you have found the right sauce for you. This sauce is full of sweet flavours of paprika and chilli.

Ingredients needed:

1 x Red capsicum
1 x Red onion
6 x Red chilli ( to your hotness)
6 x Green chilli ( to your hotness)
1 x Yellow paprika
4 x Heap tablespoons of brown sugar
2 x Teaspoons of ground ginger
150ml Olive oil
70ml White wine vinegar
25ml Rice vinegar

Prep the Ingredients

Chop all the ingredients into pieces. There is no need to cut them to small as you will be blending them at a later stage.

NB: I recommend using gloves when cutting chilli's

Combine Ingredients

Once all ingredients are chopped. Add them to a pot and add in the remaining ingredients:

4 x Heap tablespoons of brown sugar
2 x Teaspoons of ground ginger
150ml Olive oil
70ml White wine vinegar
25ml Rice vinegar

You can adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding / removing the amounts of brown sugar used.

Cook

Bring the pot to a boil and then turn down the heat and leave the pot to simmer for about 20 minutes or until all the ingredients have cooked through and are soft.

Blend Cooked Ingredients

Once the ingredients have cooked through, remove the pot from the heat and get a stick blender and blend the ingredients to a consistency you like.

For best results blend the ingredients until smooth ( with a few small pieces left)

Bottle Your Sauce.

Now pour your blended sauce into a container and put into the fridge to cool.

Once the sauce has cooled it will become a bit of a paste / sauce and thicken up.
