Sushi Landscape Art
I've been making sushi with my family ever since I was a little kid so I thought, why not make art out of it? I've made sushi plenty of times and have been presented with a school project that involves making art out of food so I decided sushi was the right choice.
Supplies
Salmon
Eggs 2 eggs Rice 3 cup White rice vinegar 60ml Soy sauce
Salt 1 tbsp Sugar 3 tbsp Seaweed sheets
Ingredients and Tools Needed
Ingredients:
Smoked salmon
2 Eggs
3 cups rice
60ml white rice vinegar
Soy sauce
1 tbsp salt
3 tbsp sugar
Nori sheets
Tools:
Bamboo mat
Bowl
Pot/Rice cooker
Rice paddle/Wooden spoon
Making Sushi Rice
Mix the 3 cups of rice, that you made in a rice cooker or pot, with 60ml white rice vinegar, 1 tbsp salt and 3 tbsp sugar in a bowl.
Spreading Rice and Adding Salmon/egg Roll Slices Onto Rice
On your bamboo mat, lay a nori sheet and cover the nori sheet in a layer of rice covering 3/4 of the nori sheet. On the end closest to you, add salmon or egg.
Rolling and Cutting the Sushi
Roll the bamboo mat with the nori in it to create a tube-like shape. Cut your sushi into 6-8 even pieces.
Assorting the Sushi
Assort your sushi similar to the picture posted above.
