This is a good way to repurpose the paper maps that you come home with after travel. Even though I use Google maps a lot I like the free colourful maps to give a good overview of a place. The bangle is a great souvenir while minimising waste.

pva glue and saucer and water

Rip up the newspaper, I used about 1 1/2 tabloid pages
Rip or cut the cardboard, I used the sticky tape to shape the bangle rather than staples (original idea) as I want to wear them through security at the airport.
Glue

Mix glue and water about 50/50
Dip the newspaper into the glue and around the cardboard shape
I alternate shorter shapes with long pieces
Wait

Take a couple of breaks to let the layers dry (I do 2 or 3 layers before a break).
