Super Sized Paper Airplanes

Paper airplanes are fun to make, but really simple. I wanted to make something that would be more impressive than your standard paper airplane. I decided to super-size it. Here's the final product. (It took me over 4 hours to make a 4x4x4, so keep that in mind if you plan to make this)

Supplies

lots of tape (I used Magic Scotch tape)

lots of printer paper (8 1/2 x 11)

straightedge (to fold evenly)

Start the Base

To start off, choose how many times bigger you want your plane to be. Too figure out how much paper you will need, cube how many times bigger you want it to be. Take 2 sheets of paper and taping them together, making sure you put a 2 inch piece of tape, then leave a one centimeter gap. Continue doing the until you have enough pieces of paper for one row. Make 1 more, than tape the together.

Finish the Base

Once you have enough rows, tape them together to make a base. Continue doing this until you have enough layers. When you have enough, tape them together.

Start Folding

Fold the sheet in half lengthwise. Unfold it, and fold the top corners toward the center, forming a point. Fold those in half toward the center again.

Finish Folding

Folt it on the center crease again. Make the wings by folding the wing in half. Use tape to secure it, land you're done!
