I love Lego, so I thought I would make a cool Lego keychain, even though I don't have a set of keys to use it on. I guess I'll have to use it on my backpack. This is a super fun and easy project, and does not restrict the use of these Lego pieces in any way. The keychain screw-eye is also easily removable, so it does not restrict the possibilities for building with the piece. This can also be done with any Lego piece

Materials:

  • Lego man body
  • Picture frame screw-eyes

  • Optional: Lego man hat

Attach Screw-eye to Lego Piece

Hold the screw-eye with the pliers and heat the thread with a lighter or blowtorch. Holding the Lego piece in your other hand, push the hot thread of the screw-eye into the Lego piece, trying to keep it as straight as possible. DO NOT touch the screw-eye, as it will be very hot. Once the screw-eye has cooled down, it can be unscrewed from the Lego piece.

Assemble Lego Man

Assemble your Lego man with whichever outfit you want. Lego man hats have holes already made in them, and are just big enough to fit a screw-eye, making them ideal for this. As you can see in pic 4, the screw eyes are completely removable.

Attach Keychain

Attach the keychain of your choice to the screw-eye. Now you're ready to go!
