Creating the Lampshade
Wrap placemat around push light to create the lampshade. This will help you locate where the ends will meet. You can secure it with a rubberband at the bottom to help secure it as you work. You can mark it with a pencil if needed. Tape the inside seam with clear tape and dot the outside seam with glue, if there is overlap. Use a piece of clear tape to secure it until dry.
Securing Lampshade to Push Lamp.
Dot glue around the push lamp, smear if preferred. Place lampshade on push lamp which should fit snugly. Let dry. You can remove exterior tape after glue has dried. You can trim down inside tape also, so it is not visible.
Turn on and Enjoy the Fruits of Your Labor!!
I may be making a few of these with comic book theme placemats for some friends, to give for the holidays.
