A step-by-step tutorial on how to make colorful watercolor cards with just a few supplies at home!!!

These cards are a super simple way to make a thank you card a little more thoughtful and personal!!!

You can easily make them a certain color to make it super special for who ever you give it to!

Supplies

Here are the few things you will need to get started!!!

- Washable markers

- Paper(I used both painting and copy paper to compare)

- Cling Wrap (or a plastic bag)

- Scissors

- Pen or Marker

- Paper Towels(I forgot to put them in the photo)

-Someone to thank!!!!!

Step 1.Color on your cling wrap with the markers-layer multiple colors for a prettier card! pic#1,2

Step 2. Spray water over markers thoroughly. pics#3,4, it is much easier using a spray bottle but I have made them in the past just splashing on a little water at a time.

Step 3. Gently press card down, trying not to get marker on the inside(something I fail at:) pic#5

Step 4. Turn card over and blot off excess water pic#6-8 this helps prevent water from soaking through.

Step 5. Let dry!

Repeat using same cling wrap as many times as you want, just wipe of any excess water in between different colors, each time typically can color two cards

(in pic#9 I put a piece of paper underneath so you could see the colors-it is not necessary)

I tried using both painting paper and copy paper to see if copy paper would work-

The copy paper get kind of waterlogged and bleeds through, but does work(it takes much longer to dry though) pic#15

You can also do either front and back or just the front of the cards pic# 11-14

Finishing the Cards!

Last but not least, write Thank You on the front!!

You want to make sure they are completely dry before doing this step!- wait longer if using copy paper-

My sister helped with this part because her handwriting is so much better :)

If your cards don't lay flat pic#5 place under a heavy book for a few hours

Thank you for reading this instructable! I would love to see any cards you make!
