Super Cute 3D Strawberry Popup Card
Cards crafts are one of my favourite ones to do when I pick a project to start. Not because they're super cute, full of personalized messages, or that they're easy to do. It's because you can create a super cute card with little materials.
This tutorial will show you how to make a super cute 3D strawberry pop up card with 3 pieces of paper!
Materials Needed
1 Red Paper
1 Green Paper
1 White / Beige Paper
Pen
Scissors
Glue
Making the Strawberry
Get the red piece of paper that you have. You're going to want to fold it hamburger style.
Once you have it folded, you should have a crease in the center of the paper. Grab your handy scissors and cut down the crease. You should end up with two pieces of red paper that are equal in size.
Now fold both papers hot-dog style. Grab your pen and draw a heart. Make sure you draw the heart on the side of the paper that doesn't open. When you're ready, grab your scissors and cut out the heart by following the line you drew.
Now you should have 2 hearts that are the same size. Put them side by side and when you open them, the middle should be sticking out. Congrats on making the strawberry!
Making the Leaf
Grab your green piece of paper and one of the hearts you cut out. Place the heart in the bottom corner of the green paper. Grab your pen and mark the outside of the heart.
You'll want to mark it a bit further away from the leaf because the leaf has to be bigger than the hearts to fit. Once you have that, you'll draw the leaf, and cut it out.
Putting It All Together
Now grab your final piece of paper, the beige one. Fold it hamburger style and find the perfect spot that you want to place your heart.
Place the two hearts side by side and fit the leaf on top. The heart has two layers, the bottom layer, and the layer that stands up. The leaf will want to be between these two layers (on top of the bottom layer and below the top layer).
Get your glue stick and apply it to the hearts and leaf. This will make it stay in place. Once you glued it and the glue has dried, grab a pen or sharpie and start drawing circles on the strawberry. These black circles will become the seeds of the strawberry.
There you have it! Your very own 3d strawberry pop up card! There's tons of room here for you to add your own personal touch or message.
Happy crafting!
