Sugru Keychain Loop

Sugru is a self-setting rubber for fixing, modifying and improving stuff.  It molds like play-dough, bonds to almost anything and turns into a strong, flexible silicone rubber overnight.  It comes in several colors, and is great for all sorts of things.

My USB drive has a teensy little hole, presumably for attaching to a keychain, but it's so small that it's basically useless.  I'll make it better with some Sugru.

Supplies-
Sugru in the desired colors (You can mix colors if you like!)
Thing you want on a keychain

The Sugru comes in little metallic packets to help keep it fresh.  There's dotted lines on each packet showing where to cut the packet open.  Go ahead and cut open these three sides, peel the packet open, and scrape the sugru out.

Knead it up for about 30 seconds to get it activated.  This is a good time to mix up different colors!  Your working time with Sugru is only about 30 minutes, so don't take too long.

To make extra-sure that the Sugru won't come off the USB drive, let's mush a bit into the old hole as an anchor.

Make a loop on the end of the USB drive, making sure to touch the Sugru in the old holes.

Wait 12 hours, and it's ready to go!
