Sugru sliding sock fix (executed at Omaha Makers' Group-OMG)Low-cut socklets, the kind that look like little ballet slippers, are so cut--up until you discover they only stay up for about 20 steps; and then the backs end up under your arches--very frustrating!  Walk, stop, remove sock, pull up sock, replace shoe, repeat, repeat, repeat. Enter Sugru!  Materials/supplies: 1 pair low-cut, no-show socks, SUGRU, Styrofoam block, straight pins, safety pin, fingers.

Step 1:  Pin socks to foam, inside up, heel portion flat, remainder of socks out of the way.

Step 2:  Take a nickel-sized gob of Sugru, roll into a ball, and flatten into oblong shape.

Step 3:  Press sugru into fabric at inside back of socks, spreading to about 1.5" to about 3/4" high.

Step 4: Add texture.   (I used a closed safety pin)

Step 5:  Allow to cure 24 hours.  (Optional:  If sugru has pulled away from sock, secure loose edges with needle and thread.)
