Sugarfree Healthy Buttermints

This simple and healthy recipe is a great way to stop sugar cravings almost instantly. It also is packed full of great saturated fats from the butter that help fill you up and slow down the digestion of the sugar. The saturated fats also HELP weight loss because it provides much more energy in relation to its amount of calories.

So lets get started...

Ingredients

You will need:
1 cup of butter
3.5tbs honey
1/4 tsp peppermint extract
Pinch of salt

Plastic ziplock bag
Scissors
Mixing bowl
Cutting board
Aluminium foil/baking parchment

Mix It Up

Leave butter out until it is at room temperature. Then mix all the ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Mix until there's a constant creamy consistency.

Piping Bag

Next scoop the entire mixture into the ziplock bag. Push all the mixture towards one corner and then cut off the tip of the corner forming a piping bag.

Pipe It

Put a sheet of aluminium foil on your cutting board. Then pipe quarter sized circles of the 'dough' leaving about 0.5" between each circle.

Then put the cutting board in the fridge to chill for 2 hours.

Once fully chilled take the mints off the baking tray and serve. Eat them when you are feeling a sweet craving or when you want to freshen up your breath. These will keep good in an airtight container for several days. You may wish to refrigerate them if you live in a hot climate.
