They're easy to make, cost little, you get to recycle a old Shoe, and they look unique laying on the ground or hanging by the laces

An old Shoe or boot
Enough earth to fill the Shoe
Plant cuttings

You could place plants only where the ankle good but it's nice when they're all over and take advantage of the shape and parents if the shoe.

Drill or soldering iron. Soldering iron is a lot easier and it's about the size of most Succulent cutting stems. Hopefully you don't mind the smell of burnt material. Do it outside.

Add Earth

Get it all the way to the toes. It can be nice to have a plant at the point of the shoe.

Insert Cuttings.

Place cuttings in the holes so they're in contact with the earth. Think about how big they'll get in a few months and beyond.

Have fun with it. Some might not make it and you can add others later.

If you're going to be hanging the shoe you can add cuttings in the sole.
