String Light Battery Holder & Dodo Display Shelves
My Wife is the Bower Bird of string Lights and it's always my job to hang them.
I always find the battery box in particular to be a troublesome little devil, there's never anywhere good to put it especially when your little brother likes to pull on everything.
So this is what I came up with..........plus the boys and I need to justify the building of our 3D printer lol.
Supplies
String Lights - Dodo's (Dinosaurs) are best!

Printing Filament, color of your choice
Access to a 3D printer
6g x 5/8 (15.875mm) countersunk timber screws
No.2 Phillip's head screw driver
3/32 (2.5mm) timber drill (predrill)
Print 1 x stringLightBatteryHolder.stl & No.Req x stringLightShelf.stl
I strongly believe that opensource and sharing should include all files so that others can modify for their own needs or improve upon for the future use of others, that being said I have included the source file stringLight.dwg for editing. Keep in mind that if you edit this is AutoCAD be sure to double check facetres is set to 10 before exporting any stl file. By default facetres is 0.5 which will output low resolution stl files, generally not suitable for printing.
Once your parts are printed its just a matter of marking out the positioning of each part, DOUBLE CHECKING, then predrilling and fastening.
Our shelves are centered at 170mm.
A good tip is to use painters masking tape for marking out. Predrill on your marks then remove before fastening.
NOTE: Dimensions are in mm
