Strawberry-Lemon Sorbet
Keep cool this summer with this mouth-watering dessert. This refreshing sorbet fits the mood right after a delicious barbeque.
Supplies
- 14 Strawberries
- 1 Lemon
- 1/6 cup Honey
- Vitamix (with the cold dessert feature)
- Glass Container
- Icecream Scooper
Prep the Strawberries
Here is a simple trick to remove the top of strawberries.
- Place the straw at the bottom of the strawberry
- Poke through the strawberry but aim towards the center of the top
- Remove the top by adding water in the straw or blowing it out
Prep the Lemon
So first you want to cut your lemon in half. Please avoid doing this if you are not confident in your cutting skills. Then grab a strainer and push each half through pouring the juice into a bowl.
Prep Honey
This step is simple, just pour 1/6 of a cup into a bowl or a measuring cup. As you can see in the picture, I poured the honey into the 1/3 size and filled it halfway.
Place Items Into Blender
Once you place the items in the Vitamix, set the preset knob to the cold desserts mode. Before pressing start make sure:
- the lid is on
- the power button is on
- your hands are away from the blades
- the container is properly sealed
If all these conditions have been met, then you may press start. The process should take around 1 minute.
Pour Mixture Into Glass Container, Then Place in Freezer
After the blending process is over, remove the lid. After that pour mixture into a glass container. Once that has been accomplished, you may place the item into the freezer. You should let it sit in there for about 2 hours or until everything freezes and is soft.
Plating
Once the sorbet comes out of the freezer, the process gets easier. You can use an ice cream scooper of whatever method you prefer to put your sorbet into a bowl. So you may want to use a couple of plates and bowls to decorate your dessert. For example, I used 2 bowls and 1 plate. Have fun with it! Enjoy sharing this with your friends and family.
