Strawberry Cheesecake Poke Cake
Making a delicious cake is an art, and this Instructable will show you how to make the most moist, tender strawberry cheesecake poke cake ever. This cake has been a hit in the family for a while starting with my great-grandma passing the cake down to her children (my grandma), to her children (my mom), to me. If anyone decides to try this recipe, hopefully it will be a fun experience that can be passed on for generations to come!!
What You Need
Ingredients:
6 graham crackers
1 Whole Box Any Flavor Cake Mix (Vanilla Works Best)
2 Eggs
1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
1/2 Cup Water
1 lb Strawberry, More For Garnish (if wanted)
8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
14 oz (1 can) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup milk
8 oz whipped topping
Utensils:
1 Mixing Bowl with a Whisk (Or A Mixer)
1 Pan Any Size (I use 13x9in. but 9x9in. works best)
1 Cutting Board
1 Knife
1 Measuring Cup
1 Fork or Spoon to Enjoy The Cake!
Oven and Bottom Layer
First, Preheat the cake to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
After you have done this, use as many Graham Crackers as it takes to fill the bottom of your pan .
Cake
With your Cake Mix of choice, make a Half-Box with Half-Ingredients
I used Betty Crocker Vanilla Cake Mix
With your mixing bowl, mix
1/2 Cake Mix
1/2 Cup of Water
1/4 Cup of Vegetable
2 Eggs
Pour mixture into pan
Bake for 25-30 minutes (or until toothpick dipped into cake comes out dry)
Poke holes into cake
Strawberry Formula
Put the cake aside for now and get ready for the Strawberry Mix
A Mixer would work better than a Bowl and Whisk for this
(mix after every addition)
First, cut up your pound of Strawberries with your knife on the cutting board and place in bowl
Mix with
8 oz cream cheese (the softer it is, the easier it will be to mix)
14 oz (1 can) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup milk
When fully mixed, Pour the mixture onto top of cake
Finishing Touches, Then Enjoy!
Lastly, use the whipped topping to spread evenly on top of the cake
Once evenly spread, refrigerate cake for 3 hours
Feel free to use extra strawberries or crumpled up graham crackers to put on top of the cake for garnish
After all of your hard work putting into that cake, you can finally enjoy your own fresh Strawberry Cheesecake Poke Cake!!
