First you will need to cut half way through the straw about 0.5 inch from the beginning of the straw. Then you will need to cut at an angle into the straw to make a slit. Then you will need to cut the straw to the right length. The shorter it is the higher the note the longer it is the lower the note.

Next you will need to cut two 0.5 inch pieces from the remainder of the straw you cut. Next you will need to put them vertically and fill them with hot glue. Once it is dry you will need to cut off the excess glue you should have two cylinders when you are done.

Next you will need to cut one of the cylinders more than half way from the top. The you will need to put it in the front of the straw and then with the hot glue gun melt it on to the top. Remember you will want to leave a small hole at the top.
