Hi Everyone, Hoping all are doing fine. I am sharing this fabric storage doll instructable which I taught for MakerSpace Students as part of their basic stitches practice and Design at my previous school.

Supplies

Materials Required:
Needle and Thread
Designed or printed Cloth of your choice
Beige or skin coloured cloth for face.
Stuffing cotton.
Compass or round lid/ plate to draw a circle.
Black or brown coloured woollen for hair.
Accessories to decorate the doll.

Step 1 Materials and How to Go About

Take two pieces of rectangular cloth and stitch it using back stitch on all three sides leaving one end open. This would resemble a bag. You can sew it too.

Step 2 : Making the Face of the Doll.

Take the beige coloured cloth or any skin tone coloured cloth .
Use a small plate, lid or a compass to draw a circle on the cloth for face.
Make two circles
Stitch the edges leaving a little gap to fill the cotton
Mark the eyes and remaining features.
Use some black woollen to make hair for the doll
Braid it to make two plaits
Decorate the same.

Step 3: How to Attach the Already Stitched Rectangular Cloth and the Head of the Doll.

Reverse the sewed or stitched cloth .
Pleat the open end in such a way that you can secure the same tightly.
Now push this pleated end into the small opening in the face, through which you stuffed cotton.
Make sure you have stuffed ample cotton and the face doesn't look saggy.
Check to centre the secured cloth properly into the face opening.
Once you are sure, stitch them together using hemming.

Step 4: Finishing the Doll...last Touches

Once the head and the body are stitched together, now it's time to decorate the doll....add accessories.
Use your imagination and creativity to cover the area where you have attached both.
I have used white woollen pom-poms.

How do you store things inside the doll?
Once you are done with the accessories turn the doll around and make a slit of desired length, you should be able to put things and take them out whenever required.
Make the slit and hem the edges of the slit.
LO!!!.....your STORAGE DOLL is ready.
