  2. Cut 2 pieces of plywood to 1.5ft by 1.5ft for the sides of the box

  4. Cut 1 2x6 wood to 1.5ft to use as a divider.

After cutting all the wood, lay it out on the ground as shown. Then using a foam brush, stain the wood to your colour of choice on only the outside of the box. Then let it dry before proceeding with assembling the box.

Take the plywood that you cut out and start assembling the frame of the box by gluing the edges of the wood together and then attaching them with nails with a hammer or nail gun. Do this for all sides of the box. Make sure to wipe off any excess glue that drips over after nailing on each side.

When the Glue dries, flip over the box and add glue to the bottom and then add the sheet of 3x1.5 plywood to the bottom of the box. Then secure the wood with nails, making sure to put in a bunch so it can hold the weight of what will be put inside it.

Flip the box back over and then screw in one of the hinges into the top of the box. Then grab a level to mark out where to put the other hinge so that they are level with each other. After that’s done, add the other hinge making sure to line it up with the dots that you marked out.

Once the hinges are in place, add the lid of the box by lining it up to the edge of the box and then add screws through the hinges.

Once the box is all put together and is sturdy, add the locks to each end of the box and screw them in, but make sure that the screws don’t go through the wood. The locks will keep all your possessions safe.

Open the lip and on the inside, add a divider to one end of the box by taking a 2x6 and screw it in with the screws from the outside of the box into the wood so nothing pokey will stick out. Only add it to one side of the box so that you can have a large space for luggage. No need to add glue.

Flip over the box and add two clamps to each side so that the box can be attached to the ATV. After you finish mounting everything, attach the box to the ATV on the rack and then you have successfully created a nice spot for your tools and gear while riding.
