Stop Metal Filings Getting Into Your Oil Forever!

Here is a tip I learnt from my Dad.

Back when computers were new and had to be upgraded because of failure my Dad started pulling apart the hard drives to get some super strong magnets out of them.

He used these for a variety of things including what I will show you now.

Also, back in the early days of most cars (1980-1999) there wasn't the same precision as today and that would result in metal filings on the engine oil.

This problem still occurs today but it was way back when that this awesome life hack came about.

All you need is a car and some super strong magnets.

All you have to do is clip the magnets to the side of your oil filter.

We have them in our motor home and they work a treat.

When we change the oil we wipe the edge of the filter and we are constantly amazed with the amount of metal there is.

The reason you should do this? It saves your engine quite a bit of wear and tear from loose metal filings thus making your car last longer!
