This is a pretty basic design. The concept is the same for both the stools and Hallway table. Measure out how tall and wide you want. My hallway table was about 3ft×42in×7in and my stools were about 24in×16in×10in. Make your cuts and use the pocket hole jig to place the pieces together.
Build the Frame and Top

combine all pieces together to build your frame then cut and combine the table top. I made sure I would have a 1 1/2in lip on all sides for the top.

Sand first! Time to stain these bad boys :) I put one coat of stain and about 5 or 6 coats of poly

Not too shabby. it only cost me about $80 to make and I got two stools and a hallway table out of it.
