Steak Soup

In this instructable, I will show you how to make Steak Soup.

Ingredients

For this recipe you will need:

1 1/2-2 lbs lean round steak

4 c beef broth

2 c water

2 tbsp vegetable oil

1 tsp salt

2 tbsp butter

1/4 c chopped onions

1 tbsp paprika

3 tbsp all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp pepper

1 tsp marjoram

1 6oz can tomato paste

1- 1 1/2 c chopped celery

1-1 1/2 c sliced carrots

1/2 tbsp parsley flakes

1 - 1/2 c cubed potatoes

1 bay leaf

Cut Steak.

First thing you're going to do is cut the steak into cubes.

Dice Onion.

Next, you're going to dice the onion.

Grab the Biggest Saucepan.

In a large sauce pan, heat the oil and butter on medium heat.

Now We're Cookin'

Next, add the steak and onions and cook until the steak is brown.

In a Separate Bowl-

Mix together the paprika, flour, salt and pepper.

Back to the Saucepan.

Add the flour mixture in with the beef, mixing thoroughly.

Now add in the water and beef broth.

Next, stir in the marjoram, parsley and bayleaf and bring to a boil.

Cover the saucepan, reduce the heat and simmer for an hour or until the beef is tender.

After That 1 Hour Break,

Cut the carrots, celery and the potatoes and add to the pan.

Cover the pan again and cook for an additional 30-45 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and the soup has started to thicken.

Last Ingredient!

Add the tomato paste, stir it in to the soup and cook for another 15 minutes, this time uncovered.

Now Remove Some Ingredients.

Remove the bay leaf before serving.
