Stationary Charging Hub

Unlike many other students, I do not have a pencil case or cup to hold my stationaries which results in disorganization. On top of that, I keep losing track of where my phone and airpods are everyday after class and work.

This is the rough sketch of the design. I was trying to maximize the usage of this hub. What if this hub can not just hold my stationaries but also hold my electronics??

The goal here is to reduce storing space and has the ability to hold various stationaries. On top of that, this can also act as a charging station that I can charge my phone and airpods.

Instead of just charging airpods, I can charge my friends' phones when they come by or if the users have 2 phones. So the charging ports must be phone friendly, meaning that this can charge all different types of phones.

To start off, I have created a combination of a triangle and a rectangle. Later, I created a ledge for supporting the phone and the airpod. Then, I extruded the outline.

To maximize the capabilities of the hub, I cut a hole at the bottom for storage such as clips and correction tapes. At the ledge, the U-shape hole is for the users to plug in their phones or airpods if they want to charge.

In order to create the hole on the slanted edge, I created an offset plane and cut that part vertically. The purpose of the hole is for stationaries such as pens, pencils, rulers...

To prevent users from injuring themselves due to cutting edges, filleting the corners is necessary.

I applied 3D - Walnut - Figured - Semigloss for appearance. The wood color blends in well with modern homes.

I have imported the phone, airpod, pens, clips, and correction tape from GrabCAD. I created the wire heads to show the hole on the U-shaped hole has enough space, it is just a combination of a block and a cylinder.

Rendering it to provide a better appearance. There we go, this is the Stationary Charging Hub!!!
