This is were we started. We wanted to make a nice clean set of cabinets, so here we go.

Lumber

Get a butt load of wood of your choice. Make sure you calculate for the right amount of material for the amount of cabinets your going to make.

Cutting Wood

Go through and make your cuts for the tops, bottoms and sides. Make sure you measure twice and cut once.

Carcass Time

Now its time to assemble the carcass, I like to use Glue, Screws and nails to be safe, plus it allows you to store heaver things. Make sure you have enough room to store everything..

At this point a face frame jig will come in handy, This is the one I use (Kreg) from this point assemble your face frame in the manner you want to fit the face of the cabinet. Measurement is crucial at the point. The 2 photos I have represented below are the 2 different styles I have made for this project.

Door Time

Set up whatever machine you need to mortise out a channel to inset your door panel. When your done with that go back and take your top and bottom piece's (Rails) and run them through a tenon jig so they will fit in the side piece's (Styles). This will make a pretty strong door. Make sure you test fit your doors to make sure they fit.

At this point assemble your doors and glue them up only no nails or screws. You are going to need a lot of clamps at this point. Once done hang your doors on the hinges and adjust. For this project I used full-over lay hinges that mount on the face frame (Hinges)

Installation

Now it's time for installation. We started in the corner because we have cabinets going in both directions. Make damn sure that the corner cabinets or your starting cabinet is square and level before you proceed. Keep in mind that the walls, ceilings and floor will not be always be level so adjust accordingly.

Admire Your Work
