I, just like many, many people on planet earth love Starbucks. I also don't like spending $3-5 on a drink that can be easily made at home. And technically the black tea lemonade is an Arnold Palmer but I think it's slightly different because it isn't a 50/50 mix. So now I will show you how to make a Starbucks style Arnold Palmer

Supplies

-2 cups of water, seperated into different containers (One must be microwaveable)

-1 cup of sugar

-2 tablespoons of lemon juice

-1 packet of black tea or iced tea

-1 cup of ice

-(optional) a Starbucks cup

Simple Syrup!

To sweeten your Starbucks Arnold Palmer you will need simple syrup, basically just sugar and water heated and mixed together. To start you will need to take on cup of water and place it in a small pot. Then add in 1 cup of white sugar.

Now to Cook It!

Then place your small pot on a stove and turn on the stove to medium low heat. Stir the mixture until all the sugar is dissolved and it is very clear (view images). Then turn off the heat and let it cool.

Tea!

If you already have black tea made from earlier or just store-bought feel free to use it. If not then don't worry, we'll make some! First take the other cup of water, then microwave it for 1-1.5 minutes till very warm. Then drop in a iced tea or black tea teabag. Then let it sit, or steep for 5-10 minutes until very dark in color.

Start, and Finish, Combining!

Now we have all of the ingredients to make some lovely black tea lemonade! First we will want to add all of the tea into a cup, jar, or other container with a sealed lid. Then add in 2 Tablespoons of lemon juice, 4 Tablespoons of simple syrup (the sugar water mixture) and finally, 1 cup of ice. Then shake! And there you have it! A great tasting beverage for pennies instead of dollars!

Really Copycat!

If you want to go the extra mile, use an old Starbucks cup or next time you get Starbucks and save it. Then you can make it look like you actually have Starbucks! (Don't forget the green straw!)
