In this tutorial I'll show you how to make stamped soap. Its really easy to make and the active part of it can be done in less than half an hour. Although you have to wait for the soap to stiffen before stamping it, wich takes some time.

Although the levander is optional, I really reccomend using ut because, it makes the soap smell, and look a lot nicer, and more unique.

The text is a little hard to read on the picture, but its a lot easier in real life.

Supplies

Ingridients:

Melting soap

Levander (optional, I used dried, but fresh should work just as well)

Supplies:

Soap stamp

Silicon mold

Bowl with a beak

Rubber hammer (optional)

cutting board, or underplate (optional)

Making the Stamp

My brother was the one who printed the stamp. You can see the 3d model on the picture, and print it out yourself using the files I provided. And even change the text, but be carefull, because if the text is too small it wont be readeable on the soap.

Here are the printer settings he used:

25% infill 3 bot/top layers 3 wals 0.22mm layer height 0.4mm nozle

I have no idea what this means, but if you have a 3d printer you probably do.

Pouring the Soap

Firstly you have to cut the soap into big chunks so that it can fit into the bowl you chose. You have to melt the soap either in the microwave or over boiling water, just like choclate. In my opininon the easier and less messy option is the microwave, you have to microwave it for around 30 seconds, on medium-high setting, take it out to stir, and repeat the process, untill its fully molten.

You should sprinkle the levander piaces into the bottom of the silicon mold and then carefully pour the molten soap into it. Be carefully not to spill it, you should put it onto something stiff, so that you can put it easily into the fridge, or outside, if its cold enough.

You have to get the soap out of the mold, and put it upside down on a cutting board, or underplate, because the too is wrinkled, but the bottom is nice and smooth. I reccomend using a cutting board, so that its easier to clean up after.

Place the stamp in the center of the soap, and hit it repeatedly with a rubber hammer, until its fearley deep. To remove the stamp, you should try wiggling it out without moving it a lot, so that it doesent mess up the soap.

Its Finished.

Your all done, and you can start using the soap. But make sure to scrub for at least 20 seconds.

This can be used for a nice touch in your every day life, you can gift it to someone if you wanna give a handmade gift, or even put it in a gift basket. The best part is that even if they dont turn out well, wich I dont think they will as long as you follow the instructions, you can just remelt it, and pour it again.
