Spooky Light

We know how much fun LED Lights can be, especially when you use them in Do-It-Yourself projects. Today, we’ve got some spooky decoration tips and a DIY LED project to build a Spooky Light and add a special touch to your room.

Supplies Required

Here, we use a tracing paper as the light diffuser. The LED module is placed below the diffuser and this RGB LED module emits light of different colors making your Spooky light look more cute and cool !! .

Programming Dream Kit With DK Studio

Connect the HUB to your computer using a USB cable and make sure the HUB is in USB mode. Open DK studio software in your computer choosing the correct port number and click on ‘Connect’. Place the blocks as shown below and click on ‘Upload’.

1. Cut out a circular cardboard of diameter 20cm.

2. Now, cut out two cardboard strips of width 4cm.

3. Use the hot glue gun to glue the strips as a wall for the circular base.

4. Cut out another circular band of outer radius 10cm and inner radius 8cm.

5. Cut 2 more cardboard strips of width 2 cm.

6. Use the hot glue gun to glue the strips as a wall for the circular loop.

Cut two cardboard strips each of width 6cm. Use these strips as inner walls for the circular base .

Now, try to fit the upper part onto the base assembly. If it doesn't fit check whether the measurements are proper.

Cut out your glow sign from a black chart paper which must be a circle of radius 9 cm and stick it to the tracing paper.

Cut the tracing paper along the border of the chart paper.

Stick the sign on top with the double sided tape as shown in the figure below.

Connect the RGB LED module and the HUB. Fix it inside the glow sign and make sure you drill a hole for the power cord.

Program your Dreamkit to glow different colours in the LED :)

To make your Spooky light more cool, colour or decorate the outer part. Stick any other wacky art you find interesting on top of it
