For this step you will need:

  1. Buttercream
  2. Food coloring
  3. A decorating bag
  4. Frosting tip

Instructions:

Because im making four different kinds of cupcakes i divided the buttercream in four different parts. If you want to make only one kind you can skip the first instruction. Only bare in mind using the food coloring you want to color the buttercream.

  1. First divide the previous made buttercream in four different parts, set aside three parts and take one to divide again in two. The cupcake i made with this buttercream is the "Spooky Soup" (You can see it in the next step) so thats why i needed two colors for this, purple and green.
  2. After coloring the buttercream i used a piping bag to decorate the cupcake.
  3. Please see next steps to make one or all of the cupcakes in this instructable.

If you don't know how to assembly a piping bag please see this instructions below:

  1. Pick your frosting tip.
  2. Slip the frosting tip into the decorating bag.
  3. Cut off the tip of the bag.
  4. The opening of the bag should sit below the opening of the frosting tip.
  5. Fold down the top of the decorating bag.
  6. Hold bag and start spooning in your frosting.
  7. Once filled, unfold the top of the decorating bag and gather the edges together.
  8. Push frosting down toward the tip. Make sure you get out any air pockets.
  9. Tie off the end.

How to decorate using a piping bag:

  2. Going around the dollop in the center, start frosting the cupcake around the edge. As you complete a full circle, move the piping bag slightly inward to create the next circle rotation.
  3. Release the pressure and pull the bag away.

3. Decorations:

You will need:

  • Ghost and eyes marzipan.
  • Little gommies

Instructions:

For this cupcake i wanted to make a "soup of spooky things" that why i used eyes and a ghost of marzipan (i bought this in my local supermarket) to decorate. Also i used some little gummies to sparkle all over the cupcake.
