Spook-tacular Chocolate Chip Cookies

I created these spooky cookies one Halloween when I needed something
quick to take to a costume party. I had all the ingredients on hand and they were done in no time. So, if you're in need of something quick to take to a Halloween party, these cookies will be perfect! Feel free to use your favorite cookies in this project... mine just happens to be chocolate chip followed closely by peanut butter.
Supplies
1 tube refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough (makes 12 cookies)
OR
equivalent of store-bought from the bakery department
1 1/2 cup Confectioner's sugar
1 - 2 teaspoons milk
1 tube black decorator's icing (with a fine tip)
3 or 4 black gumdrops
Bake Your Cookies If Needed
Bake cookies following directions on package.. Let cool completely.
OR Use store bought chocolate chip cookies (or your favorite flavor-peanut butter would be nice!)
Make Spider Web Cookies

Mix together the confectioner's sugar and milk, adding enough milk to make a thick glaze. Spread glaze on top of cookie (completely cooled cookie if you baked them).
With the tube of black icing, draw 3 or 4 concentric circles on top of the glaze.
Using a toothpick, carefully drag tip of toothpick through the icing to make a "spider web" design.
Place decorated cookie on wire rack to "set". (Note: Icing will stay fairly soft, so store them on a large plate .... do not stack them.)
Make the Skull Cookies

Mix together the confectioner's sugar and milk, adding enough milk to make a fairly thick glaze.
Spread glaze on top of cookie (completely cooled cookie if you baked them).
Cut the licorice (or black colored) gum drops into thin slices using a sharp knife. If knife becomes caked with gumdrop, just rinse in hot water and continue slicing.
Place gumdrop slices on top of glazed cookie, arranging them to create eyes and a nose.
With the tube of black icing, carefully draw a straight line under the nose where a mouth would be.
Drag the tip of a toothpick through the line of icing, alternating with upward strokes and then downward. This will give the appearance of teeth.
Place decorated cookie on wire rack to "set". (Note: Icing will stay fairly soft, so store them on a large plate .... do not stack them.)
Enjoy the Party!!

OK! Now you have skull and spider web cookies to share with friends and family. And they couldn't be easier to make!
