Sponge Detergent Sink Caddy
Your kitchen sink can get very messy during the day. A lot of clutter can accumulate in the bottom of the sink, why add the dish soap bottle and cleaning sponge to that clutter?
Here is a simple 3D-printed caddy that can hold your sponge and a small dish detergent bottle above the clutter and make them easily accessible. This caddy will fit domed or square sink dividers. It holds an abrasive/sponge and a small detergent dispenser that can easily be refilled from bulk detergent jugs.
Supplies
3D printer of any type and filament. I always use PET-G.
A small dish detergent dispenser bottle.
An approximately 3"x6" sponge or sponge with an abrasive side.
To avoid printing supports, there are 2 STL files the Sponge holder for a CURVED (or Square) sink and a second for the Detergent bottle. They are super-glued together to avoid slicer supports.
Slice the STL files:
- SpongeHolderCurved.stl (or SpongeHolderSquare.stl)
- SoapBottleHolder.stl
3D print the files. .2mm layer height and other parameters that work on your 3D printer.
Super-glue the SoapBottleHolder to the SpongeHolder.
To avoid gluing (slicer supports recommended)---
- Use the SinglePrint.stl for curved sinks.
- The right image above shows the combined stl files for a single print.
- The slicer should be able to combine both stl files for a single full print (supports suggested).
- Combine SpongeHolderSquare.stl and a rotated SoapBottleHolder.stl if needed.
- The angle needed to mate the 2 stl pieces is about 11 degrees.
Hang in your divided kitchen sink.
