I made a basic spinning fidget toy to play with when bored or stressed. This is how you can make one too. (It also doubles as a toy hammer.)

1st Grip Handle

(Make sure that you set the snap grid to 0.5 mm otherwise you will not be able to correctly align all the pieces together) First place down a Cylinder then scale it to 6 mm height and 40 mm for the sides. Next place another cylinder on the workplace and scale its height to 16 mm and 32 mm for the sides, make sure to raise the cylinder 6 mm in the air and align the pieces together. Third place down a cylinder and make it hollow, scale it to 28 mm for the sides, 30mm for the height, and then raise it 6mm off the ground and align it with the other 2 parts. Finally select all the other parts together and raise them 12mm off the ground and place a cone, scale it to 40 mm for the sides and height. Now align them all together and group them. Now you have the 1st grip handle.

2nd Grip Handle

First place a cone and scale it to 40 mm height and 40 mm for the sides. Then place a cylinder and scale it to 40 mm for the sides and 10 mm for the height, raise it 12 mm up and align it with the cone. Finally place a hollow cylinder and scale it to 29 mm height, 34 mm sides, and 14.5 mm above the grid. Align the cone, cylinder, and hollow cylinder together, and group them.

Spinning Part

First place down a cylinder and scale its height to 5 mm and side 1 to 48 mm and side 2 to 49 mm. Next place down a hollow cylinder and scale it to 13 mm height, and for both sides, scale it to 38 mm. Next place down a box and scale side 1 to 133 mm and side 2 to 20 mm. Finally align the hollow cylinder as close to the middle of the normal cylinder that you can get, then make side 2 of the box touch and align with side 1 of the cylinder, now group the cylinder, hollow cylinder, and the box together.

Add Things to the Spinning Part

If you would like to, you can add things to the spinning part of the fidget toy to hold onto or rub your finger against. Use anything you would like to add from the shapes panel, just make sure it fits on the spinning part of the fidget toy.

Printing the Parts

Jamison Slice File.jpg

Click the export button and select .STL Then send the file to your 3d printer. Depending on the size of your file, printer, or structure it could take around an hour to print.

Assembling Everything Together

First place the first grip handle through the hoop of the spinning part then connect the second grip, from there it will "click" into place. You can custom paint it if you want. If the handles are not connecting properly you can glue them together.

All finished now!
