Spinach Lentil Soup

Spinach is a packed with iron and lentil are a great source of protein hence its a power pack combination. I tried incorporating both in the form of soup so both my husband and daughter could be benefited by this. Please try this and I hope your kids will love it.

​Ingredients:

  1. Spinach - 1 Cup
  2. Lentil - 1/4 Cup
  3. Onions - 1/4 Cup
  4. Tomato - 2 tbsp
  5. Garlic - 1 small
  6. Whole Milk - 1/2 Cup
  7. Cumin - 1 tsp
  8. Butter - 2 tsp
  9. Water - 1 Cup (adjust it based on the consistency of the soup you desire)
  10. Salt - to taste.

  1. Wash spinach and chop it into smaller pieces.
  2. Add all the ingredients in the pressure cooker except milk.
    • You could use a normal pot if you do not have a pressure cooker. It will just take more time.
  3. Cook until 3 whistles.
  4. Once its luke warm, blend it to a fine paste.
  5. Put butter in a pan.
  6. Pour the blended mixture.
  7. Pour milk, add salt and cook until the first boil.


    Spinach Lentil soup is ready. Enjoy!
